What is eXpresso?
eXpresso provides multiple user, online editing of IBM Lotus Symphony and Microsoft Office files within IBM LotusLive. Users can edit and collaborate on their spreadsheets, documents and presentations without manually downloading files.
My 30 day free trial has expired and I can no longer open or create files using eXpresso. What should I do?
Your LotusLive administrator can purchase and enable eXpresso for your organization. If you are not the administrator, please contact the administrator and request that eXpresso be enabled. Administrators can contact eXpresso.
How much does eXpresso cost?
eXpresso is just $24 per year/per user. Discounts are available for large groups. LotusLive Administrators can contact eXpresso for pricing details and payment.
What if I have a technical question or problem?
Like LotusLive, eXpresso will provide support to LotusLive administrators or designated contacts. Please contact your LotusLive administrator or designated contact. They may be able to answer your question for you. If you are an administrator or designated contact, please check our support pages. If you do not find the answer you need, contact eXpresso support.
Can I share a file with someone outside of my company?
Sure. If your contact is a LotusLive user, they will find the file under Shared Files when they log in. If the contact is not a LotusLive user, they will be able to create a Guest account. Please note that people with Guest accounts will be able to view, but not edit your file.
Do I need to have IBM Lotus Symphony or Microsoft Office installed in order to use eXpresso?
Yes. You must have one or the other application installed with a valid license. If you have both installed, you will be able to choose which editor to use when working on Microsoft Office file types and will be prompted to open and edit the file with Symphony when using Open Document file types.
Someone has shared a file with me. I can open it, but can’t make changes. What’s wrong?
The owner of the file may have given you Reader permission to the file. If you need to make edits to the file, please contact the file owner and ask for your permission to be changed to Author.
If you are an Author and can’t edit the file, it may be because someone else has the file open. Next to Editing on the top menu bar, you will see the name of the person who is currently the Editor of the file. Only one person can edit the file at a time. If you would like to edit the file, click the button labeled “Request to Edit.” The current Editor will be notified of your request and can make you the Editor.

How do I know that my information is secure?
