Upload Spreadsheets
Start working with eXpresso by uploading one or more spreadsheets from your desktop. Uploading a file is as simple as attaching it to an email, just browse to the file you would like to upload and click "Open."
Share Spreadsheets
You can share spreadsheets with your eXpresso contacts or just enter an email address to send anyone an invitation to register for a free eXpresso account and begin collaborating with you. Sharing allows you to collaboratively work on spreadsheets with multiple users in real time. All users instantly see each others changes and all conflicts are automatically resolved.
Share Cell Regions
eXpresso allows you to make only portions of a spreadsheet editable by other users, thereby allowing others to contribute to the spreadsheet without giving them access to private formulas or other data that you wish to control. Different users can have edit rights on different sections of a spreadsheet.
Set Alerts
Once you have shared a spreadsheet, you can set up alerts to receive an email notification when a user takes a particular action on your spreadsheet. eXpresso also allows you to set alerts down to the cell-level using the "Track Cells" feature. This will not only notify the spreadsheet owner when changes are made to a spreadsheet, but also who made the changes, when these changes were made, and what the pre- and post-change data values are.
Edit Spreadsheets
eXpresso’s familiar interface makes editing your spreadsheets easy. Just click cells to change formulas or values. While viewing or editing a spreadsheet in eXpresso, it is easy to see how many other users are currently accessing the spreadsheet. eXpresso’s chat feature allows these users to chat in real time. All chat messages are archived and associated to the spreadsheet.
Tags, Notes and Folders
Use Tags to categorize files by assigning them a customizable tag such as "Forecasts" or "Budgets", then filter your spreadsheet list by selecting the tag name from the search drop-down box. You can also add Notes to each spreadsheet to more specifically describe the spreadsheet content. Folders are also provided for organizing your spreadsheets in the more traditional way.
Compare Spreadsheets
View two spreadsheets side by side to instantly see differences in cell values or formulas. A color coded legend helps you identify changed, deleted or added cell contents. Find small changes in complex spreadsheets instantly.
View Spreadsheet History
Maintain a complete audit-able history of your spreadsheets for tracking and compliance purposes. See when edits are made and when the file is downloaded, shared, or locked by you or another user.
Access Controls
The spreadsheet owner can assign specific "rights" to designated users. Permissions can include "view only", edit, copy and download. Controls can be changed at any time to expand or limit privileges. You can also revoke all rights when a user is no longer authorized to access a spreadsheet.
Add Contacts
You can add your friends and colleagues to your eXpresso contacts list simply by entering their email address and other contact information. If someone is not currently an eXpresso user, you will be guided through a simple process to invite them to join eXpresso for free.
Invite Contacts
You can invite others to register for and use eXpresso by "telling your friends" or adding a contact. An email will be sent to the contact’s email address inviting them to use eXpresso for free. Your friend needs only to click the link and register, then you can begin sharing spreadsheets and collaborating.
