Current Limitations and Known Issues

Information for Vista Users

User Account Control (UAC) is a feature in Windows Vista that limits the functions of some applications including eXpresso.  If your User Account Controls are on, you will not be able to open PowerPoint files in eXpresso.

Take the following steps to turn the User Account Control off:

1.  Open User Accounts by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking User Accounts and Family Safety (or clicking User Accounts, if you are connected to a network domain), and then clicking User Accounts.

2.  Click Turn User Account Control on or off. If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

3.  Select the Use User Account Control (UAC) to help protect your computer check box to turn on UAC, or clear the check box to turn off UAC, and then click OK.

4.  You must restart your system for this change to take effect.

Linking Workbooks in Excel

Formulas that link to other workbooks will result in errors in both the online interface and the Add-in for Excel.  This will be addressed in a future release of eXpresso.  Formulas that link to other worksheets within the same file, however are supported.

Tables in Excel

Although tables within an Excel file are supported in eXpresso, there are a few limitations to the functionality of tables.  You must use the Add-in to insert rows into a table and to expand the table range.

Excel Macros

While macros are generally supported by eXpresso, they do come in all shapes and sizes and some may need to be optimized to run in the eXpresso environment.  If you are having trouble with a macro, please contact eXpresso support.
